Qudsia Rahim

Executive Director

Qudsia Rahim, the co-founder & executive director of the Lahore Biennale Foundation (LBF) and the Director of the Lahore Biennale background is in art and academia. She has set-up various initiatives, such as the field elective at the National College of Arts called Art for Humanity, the Research Cell at LBF, which focuses on various forms of artistic research within Pakistan and its diaspora, and the Afforestation Lahore Group, a consortium of the government and civil sector to combat the loss local/urban ecology and address other urgent environmental challenges.

Endorsed by the Climate Ministry of Pakistan and the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency, Ms. Rahim is the Project Director/Author of the Green School Certification Program, a scalable initiative that sought critical thinking and whole systems learnings on climate education and ecological practices using art education as a pedagogical tool, with a focus on climate justice within schools. Most recently, Ms. Rahim has led the Zero Waste Initiative, a program that promotes sustainable practices across institutions, advocating for systemic change through education, policy recommendations, and community engagement.

She sits on several Boards such as the Alhamra Arts Council, Lahore and the Quaid-e Azam Public Library, Lahore.
