Waqas Khan

Text in Continuum, 2018
Ink on paper

Waqas Khan lives and works in Lahore, Pakistan.
Trained as a print-maker at the National College of Arts, Lahore, Khan has gone on to produce large-scale minimalist drawings “that resemble webs and celestial expanses.” The contemplation that leaves a visible evidence on paper is the crux of the work.
Khan employs small dashes and minuscule dots to create large entanglements, such as in the large-scale work on paper, Text in Continuum exhibited at LB01.
Khan’s works are part of public collections such as The British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum, in London (UK); the Deutsche Bank Collection, Frankfurt (Germany); the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art and the Devi Foundation, both in New Delhi (India).
