Naima Dadabhoy
Artist’s studio, 2018
Multiple mediums
Naima Dadabhoy lives and works in Karachi, Pakistan.
She is a multimedia artist whose art practice explores themes of impermanence and disintegration. She has worked in various media including installation, video, print-making, painting, drawing and sculpture.
For LB01, the artist’s installation was a recreation of her studio, a space where she has been collecting organic materials in various states of decay. These range from insects to animal skulls to dead tree matter. “By experiencing the work, I would like my audience to have a spiritual engagement with their own mortality,” explains the artist.
Dadabhoy’s work has been exhibited widely in Pakistan and internationally.
